Abu Hurayrah learned directly from the Prophet ﷺ during his three years of close companionship, and supplemented his knowledge by studying with senior Sahaba in Madinah.

الْأَعْمَشِ أُرَاهُ
ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ،
مَسْرُوقِ بْنِ الْأَجْدَعِ،
زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ،
النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ،
كُنْتُ مَعَ مَسْرُوقٍ فِي بَيْتٍ فِيهِ تِمْثَالُ مَرْيَمَ
النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ، وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ،
مسروق في رجل وهب لأولاده فآثر بعضهم على بعض

ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّہُ سُئِلَ
كَانَ عَلِيٌّ
رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَتَوَضَّأُ ثَلاَثًا ثَلاَثًا ثُمَّ مَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ وَأُذُنَيْهِ.
مَسْرُوقٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا حَدَّثَ

رَجُلٌ، لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَرَأَيْتَ إِذَا شَكَكْتُ فِي الْفَجْرِ، وَأَنَا أُرِيدُ الصِّيَامَ؟
مَسْرُوقٍ،قَالَ:
ابن عباسقال: أردفني رسول الله خلفَه، وقُثَمُ أَمَامه.
کُنْتُ مَعَ مَسْرُوقٍ فِي بَيْتٍ فِيهِ تَمَاثِيلُ مَرْيَمَ
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أبو عبد الله الحافظ واللفظ لحديثه هذا
مَسْرُوقٍ،قَالَ: حَضَرَ رَجُلًا يُوصِي فَأَوْصَى بِأَشْيَاءَ لَا يَنْبَغِي،
خطر عَلَيَّ رَجُلاً مِنَ الْبَصْرَةِ وَمَعَهُ مَصَاحِفُ يَبِيعُهَا فَأَتَيْتُ مَسْرُوقَ بْنَ الأَجْدَعِ
أبي يزيد الأنصاري
قَائِدِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ،قَ
النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ،يَقُولُ: ذَهَبَ بِي أَبِي إِلَى النَّبيِّ يُشْهِدُهُ عَلَى شَيْءٍ أَعْطَانيهِ،
ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍأَنَّهُ سُئِلَ
أَبِي هُرَيرَةَ، وَأَبِي سَعيدٍ، مِثْلَهُ.
ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا,سُئِلَ
علقمة,أنه كان يقرأ: {مَا كَانَ يَنْبَغِي لَنَا أَنْ نَتَّخِذَ}.
علقمة,أنه كان يقرأ: {وَجَعَلُوا الْمَلاَئِكَةَ الَّذِينَ هُمْ عِبَادُ الرَّحْمَنِ}.

ابن عباس لا تقولوا انصرفنا من الصلاة، فإن قوماً انصرفوا فصرف الله قلوبهم،

أوصى جار لمسروق فدعاه ليشهده فوجده قد بذر وأكثر
حضر رجلا يوصي فأوصى بأشياء لا ينبغي
