He learned directly from the Prophet ﷺ and from senior companions, and in turn became the teacher of hundreds of Tabi'un — the generation whose preservation of his narrations forms the backbone of the major Hadith collections.

الشَّيْبَانِيِّ وَتَابَعَهُمْ مَنْصُورُ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ
