Abu Hurayrah learned directly from the Prophet ﷺ during his three years of close companionship, and supplemented his knowledge by studying with senior Sahaba in Madinah.

قُلْتُ لِجُنْدُبٍ إِنِّي بَايَعْتُ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ عَلَى أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ أَهْلَ الشَّامِ
زُهَيْرٍ
لَنَا جُنْدَبٌ وَنَحْنُ غِلْمَانٌ بِالْکُوفَةِ
عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ
لِي أُمُّ سَلَمَةَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ
جُنْدُبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ،
لِي أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ
زهير بن عبد الله وكان عاملا على توج وأثنى عليهخيرا
قلت لجندب انى بايعت بن الزبير على ان أقاتل أهل الشام
