حدثنا محمد ، قال : أخبرنا أبو عبيد حدثنا سعيد بن أبي مريم ، عن سليمان بن بلال ، عن عبد الرحمن بن حرملة ، عن أبي ثفال المري ، واسمه : ثمامة بن وائل ، عن رباح بن عبد الرحمن بن أبي سفيان بن حويطب ، قال : سمعت جدتي ، تحدث أنها سمعت أباها ، أما ابن أبي مريم فلم يسمه ، وقال غيره هو سعيد بن زيد بن عمرو بن نفيل ، قال : سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول : « لا صلاة لمن لا وضوء له ، ولا وضوء لمن لم يذكر اسم الله عليه » قال سليمان بن بلال ، وقد سمعته من أبي ثفال

حدثنا محمد ، قال : أخبرنا أبو عبيد ثنا إبراهيم بن سليمان ، عن مجمع الأنصاري ، عن عمه ، عن ابن عمر ، مثله . قال أبو عبيد : إنما ذكرنا هذه الأحاديث التي فيها : لا تقبل صلاة بغير طهور ، مع الحديثين الأولين في باب واحد ، لأن بعض أهل العناية بالعلم كان يجعلها من الأولين ، ويذهب إلى أن تأويل قوله : « لا يقبل صلاة بغير طهور » ، إنما هي على الترك لتسمية الله عند الوضوء لقول النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم : « إنه لا وضوء له » ، ولم يكن يتأوله على ترك الطهور ، وكان يحتج بذلك بأن قال : « إن فرض الوضوء أوكد وأوجب من أن يوجد بالأحاديث ، لأنه في نفس التنزيل المحكم ، وإنما هو مثل الصلاة فهل يحتاج المسلمون ، إلى أن يأخذوا فرض صلاتهم ووجوبها من الحديث ؟ هذا توهين للفرائض ، قال أبو عبيد : وأما الجمهور الأعظم من العلماء في قديم الدهر ، وحديثه ، فلا نعلمهم كانوا يحملون هذه الآثار كلها التي فيها : » لا صلاة بغير طهور « إلا على ترك التطهر بالماء ، لا على ترك التسمية . قال أبو عبيد : وكذلك نقول ، هو مذهبنا ، لأنه الوجه الذي تعرفه الأمة ، والشاهد عليه مع هذا ما اقتصصناه من الآثار ، التي في الأبواب المتقدمة بالأسانيد المتصلة في أبواب الوضوء ، ومبلغ درجاته من الفضائل ، ثم لم يأتنا في شيء منها اشتراط التسمية ، إنما هي كلها على طهارة الصلاة ، فأما الحديثان الأولان ، فقد كان بعض أهل الحديث يطعن في إسنادهما ، لمكان المرأة المجهولة في الأول ، ولما في الآخر من ذكر رجل ليس يروى عنه كثير علم . فإن كانا محفوظين فإنما يوجهان على ما في ذكر الله عز وجل عند الطهور من الفضيلة والثواب ، ليس على أن تاركها يبطل وضوءه وصلاته ، ومع هذا ، إنا قد روينا عن أبي بكر الصديق رحمه الله ، حديثا كان يفسر هذا المعنى ، قال : »

إذا توضأ الرجل فذكر اسم الله عز وجل على وضوئه ، طهر جسده كله ، وإن لم يذكر اسم الله عليه لم يطهر منه إلا مواضع الوضوء « وقال أبو عبيد : سمعت خلف بن خليفة يحدثه بإسناد له إلى أبي بكر الصديق رضي الله عنه ، ولا أجدني أحفظه فمواضع الوضوء منها الفرض التام ، وسائر الجسد نافلة ، وزيادة في الخير ، وأنا مع هذا لا أرى لبشر أن يدع اسم الله عند طهوره ، ولربما تركته ساهيا حتى يمضي بعض وضوئي ، فأعيده من أوله بالتسمية ، وهذا اختيار مني لنفسي ، آخذها به ، وأراه لمن قبل رأيي ، من غير أن أوجبه ، ولا أفسد بتركه صلاة رجل ولا طهوره
