أحبُّ الناسِ إلى اللهِ أنفعُهُم للناسِ، وأحبُّ الأعمالِ إلى الله سرورٌ تدخله على مُسْلمٍ، أو تكشِفُ عنْهُ كُرْبة، أو تقضى عنه دينًا، أو تطرد عنه جوعًا، ولأن أمشى مع أخى المُسْلِم في حاجة أحبُّ إلىَّ من أن أَعتكِفَ. في هذا المسْجِد شهرًا، ومن كفَّ غضبه ستر اللهُ عورته، ومن كظم غيظه - ولو شاء أنَ يُمضيه أمضاه - مَلأ الله قلبه رضا يوم القيامة، ومن مشى مع أخيه المسلم في حاجة حتى يُثبتها له أثبت اللهُ قدميه يومَ تزول الأقدامُ، وإن سوءَ الخلق ليُفسدُ العملَ كما يُفْسد الخلُّ العَسَلَ. ابن أبى الدنيا في قضاء الحوائج، طب عن ابن عمر - رضي الله عنه -.
