قال أبو أحمد : السنة عندنا في قسم الصدقات التي يليها أئمة المسلمين ، أن الإمام يأمر بتفريقها في الأصناف الثمانية المسمين في كتاب الله على ما يرى من كثرة بعض الأصناف وقلة بعض ، وغناء بعض وحاجة بعض ، وله أن يصرف من صدقات بعض الأمصار إذا أخصبوا واستغنوا إلى غيره إذا أجدبوا واحتاجوا بحسن النظر منه للإسلام وأهله ، فأما الرجل يتولى قسم زكاة ماله ، فإنه يجزيه أن يضعها في صنف أو صنفين مما سمى الله ، وأحب إلينا أن يضعها في أقاربه المحتاجين
