حدثنا يزيد بن عمرو بن يزيد بن البراء بن عبد الله بن البراء الغنوي، قال: حدثنا أحمد بن الحارث الغساني، قال: حدثتني ساكنة بنت الجعد، عن سرى بنت نبهان الغنوية، قالت: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: ((اقتلوا الحيات كبيرها، وصغيرها، وأسودها، وأبيضها؛ فإن من قتلها، كانت له فداءً من النار، ومن قتلته، كان شهيداً)).قال أبو عبد الله: فالحية عدوةٌ، وقد أظهرت العداوة، وقد كانت وكلت بخدمة آدم -صلوات الله عليه- في الجنة، فخانته، وأمكنت عدو الله من نفسها، حتى صيرته سبباً لدخول الجنة في إغوائه، فلما ألقاهم إلى الأرض، تأكدت العداوة من عدو الله، ومن الحية لآدم وولده.

حدثنا سليمان بن العباس الهاشمي، قال: حدثنا عبد الرزاق، عن عمر بن عبد الرحمن، قال: سمعت وهب بن منبهٍ يقول:لما أسكن الله آدم الجنة وزوجته، كانت الشجرة غصونها متشعبة، بعضها في بعض، وكان لها ثمر تأكله الملائكة يخلدهم، وهي الثمرة التي نهى الله آدم عنها وزوجته، فلما أراد إبليس أن يستزلهما، دخل في جوف الحية، وكانت الحية لها أربع قوائم، كأنها بختيةٌ من أحسن دابةٍ خلقها الله، فلما دخلت الحية الجنة، خرج من جوفها إبليس، وأخذ من الشجرة التي نهى الله آدم وزوجته عنها، فجاء بها إلى حوى، فقال لها: انظري إلى هذه الشجرة ما أطيب ريحها، وأطيب طعمها، وأحسن لونها! فأخذتها حوى فأكلتها، ثم ذهبت بها إلى آدم، فقالت: انظر إلى هذه الشجرة ما أطيب ريحها، وأطيب طعمها، وأحسن لونها! فأكل منها آدم، فبدت لهما سوءاتهما، فدخل آدم في جوف الشجرة، فناداهربه: أين أنت؟ قال: أنا هنا يا رب، قال: ألا تخرج؟ قال: استحي منك يا رب، قال: اهبط إلى الأرض التي خلقتك منها، قال: ملعونةٌ الأرض التي منها خلقت، لعنةً تتحول ثمارها شوكاً، ولم يكن في الأرض ولا في الجنة شجرتان أفضل من الطلح والسدر.ثم قال: يا حوى! غررت عبدي، فإنك لا تحملين حملاً إلا حملتيه كرهاً، وإذا أردت أن تضعي ما في بطنك، أشرفت على الموت مراراً.وقال للحية: أنت التي دخل الملعون في جوفك، حتى غر عبدي، ملعونةٌ أنت لعنةً تتحول قوائمك في بطنك، ولا يكون لك رزقٌ إلا التراب، أنت عدوة بني آدم، وهم أعداؤك، أينما لقيت أحداً منهم، أخذت بعقبه، وحيثما لقيك أحدٌ منهم، شدخ رأسك.قال عمر بن عبد الرحمن: قيل لوهبٍ: وهل كانت الملائكة تأكل؟ قال: يفعل الله ما يشاء.وفي رواية أخرى: كانت الشجرة تحتك الملائكة بثمرها تخلدهم.فعداوة الحية أصليةٌ متأكدة، لا تبقي في ضرر بني آدم غاية إلا من عصم الله، وإنما أعطيت السم في نابها؛ لتمتنع بها عن ولد آدم، ولتحذر، فتقتل، وقد شاركت إبليس في ضرر ولد آدم وعداوتهم، وتظاهرت معه، فلذلك من قتل حية، فكأنما قتل كافراً، {وكان الكافر على ربه ظهيراً}؛ أي: للشيطان، فكذلك الحية.

حدثنا قتيبة، قال: حدثنا الليث بن سعدٍ، عن نافعٍ، عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: أنه قال: ((خمسٌ يقتلهن المحرم))، فذكر: ((الحية)) فيهن.قال أبو عبد الله رحمه الله: فليس لها حرمةٌ ولا ذمة، وقاتلها في أجر إذا احتسب بها، ومن قتل كافراً، كان فداءه من النار؛ لأنه عادى الله، ووالاه المؤمن، فإذا أذنب الولي، فاستوجب النار بذنوبه، فدي المؤمن بالكافر الذي عادى الله، وأغاثه الله بموالاته ربه، فكذلك المؤمن إذا قتل الحية، فكأنما قتل عدو الله؛ لأنه سالم عدو الله وعدو أبيه، فبقي ذلك الشر في ولده إلى يوم القيامة.

حدثنا عمر بن أبي عمر العبدي، قال: حدثنا نعيم بن حمادٍ، قال: حدثنا ابن إدريس، عن ابن جريجٍ، عن عمرو بن دينارٍ، عن أبي عبيدة بن عبد الله بن مسعودٍ، عن أبيه، قال: كنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بمنًى، فمرت حيةٌ، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((اقتلوها))، فسبقتنا إلى جحرٍ فدخلته، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((هاتوا بسعفةٍ ونارٍ، فأضرموها عليها ناراً)). قال نعيم: حدثت به ابن أبي شيبة، وابن إدريس حيٌّ، فجعل يتعجب، ولم يصبر أن قام حتى صار إليه وسمعه منه.فكان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ينهى عن المثلة، وعن أن يعذب بعذاب الله.فلم يبق لهذا العدو حرمةٌ، حيث فاتته، حتى أوصل إليه الهلاك من حيث قدر.وروي عن إبراهيم النخعي: أنه كره أن تحرق العقرب بالنار، وقال: هو مثلة.فيشبه أن يكون إبراهيم لم يبلغه هذا الأثر عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وعمل على الأثر الذي جاء: ((أن لا تعذبوا بعذاب الله)).فكان على هذا السبيل العمل عنده، ولكن لما أعجزتهم الحية فوتاً، أحب أن يقيم عداوته في الله، ويخفر ذمة إبليس.فإنه روي في الخبر: أن عدو الله إبليس قال لها: أدخليني الجنة، وأنت في ذمتي.فكان ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما يقول: اخفروا ذمة إبليس عدو الله. وجاء عن ابن مسعود رضي الله عنه أنه قال: كنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في غارٍ، فنزلت عليه: {والمرسلات عرفاً}، فأخذتها رطبةً من في رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فخرجت علينا حيةٌ من جحرٍ، فابتدرناها لنقتلها، فانسابت في جحرٍ، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((وقيت شركم كما وقيتم شرها)).قال: فسببه أن يكون هناك في الغار لم يجد ناراً، فتركها، أو لم يكن بالجحر هيئة ينتفع بالنار هناك، أو لم يمكن إضرامها بالنار.فأما ما روي عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أنه نهى عن قتل الجنان، فإن تلك في صورة الحيات، هن من الجن، وهن سكان البيوت، فإذا قتلتها، أضرت بك.

حدثنا محمد بن أيوب السمناني، قال: حدثنا عبد الله بن صالحٍ، قال: حدثني معاوية بن صالحٍ، عن أبي الزاهرية، عن جبير بن نفيرٍ، عن أبي ثعلبة الخشني، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((الجن على ثلاثة أصنافٍ: صنفٌ لهم أجنحةٌ يطيرون بها في الهواء، وصنفٌ حياتٌ وكلابٌ، وصنفٌ يرحلون ويظعنون)).وزاد فيه غيره: عن أبي أسامة، عن أبي منيب، عن يحيى بن أبي كثير، عن أبي سلمة، عن أبي الدرداء، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: أنه قال: ((خلق الله الجن ثلاثة أثلاثٍ: فثلثٌ كلابٌ وحياتٌ وخشاش الأرض، وثلثٌ ريحٌ هفافةٌ، وثلثٌ كبني آدم لهم الثواب، وعليهم العقاب. وخلق الله تعالى الإنس ثلاثة أثلاثٍ: فثلثٌ لهم قلوبٌ لا يفقهون بها، وأعينٌ لا يبصرون بهان، وآذانٌ لا يسمعون بها {إن هم إلا كالأنعام بل هم أضل سبيلاً}. وثلثٌ أجسادهم أجساد بني آدم، وقلوبهم قلوب الشياطين، وثلثٌ في ظل الله يوم لا ظل إلا ظله)).وخلق الله تعالى الإنس ثلاثة أثلاثٍ: فثلثٌ لهم قلوبٌ لا يفقهون بها، وأعينٌ لا يبصرون بهان، وآذانٌ لا يسمعون بها {إن هم إلا كالأنعام بل هم أضل سبيلاً}. وثلثٌ أجسادهم أجساد بني آدم، وقلوبهم قلوب الشياطين، وثلثٌ في ظل الله يوم لا ظل إلا ظله)).

حدثنا سفيان، قال: حدثنا يحيى بن سعيدٍ، عن ابن عجلان، قال: حدثني صيفيٌّ، عن أبي سعيدٍ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((إن بالمدينة نفراً من الجن أسلموا، فمن رأى شيئاً من هذه العوامر، فليؤذنه ثلاثاً، فإن بدا له بعد ذلك، فليقتله؛ فإنه شيطانٌ)).

حدثنا الزبير بن بكار بن عبد الله بن مصعب بن ثابت بن عبد الله بن الزبير، قال: حدثنا سعد بن سعيدٍ المقبري، عن أخيه، عن جده، عن أبي سعيدٍ الخدري، قال: خرج رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى أحدٍ، فخرج معه فتىً منا من بني خدرة، وهو حديث عهدٍ بعرسٍ، فاستأذن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أن يطلع على أهله، فأذن له، وخرج الفتى وفي يده الرمح، حتى دخل الدار، فوجد زوجته بباب حجرته جالسةً، فأفزعه ذلك، فقال: ما أخرجك من بيتك؟ قالت: حيةٌ منطويةٌ على فراشك، هي التي ذعرتني، فدخل الفتى، فوكزها برمحه، وخرج بها إلى صحن الدار تضطرب فيه وماتت، ومات الفتى من ساعته، فذكر ذلك لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: ((لا تقتلوا شيئاً تجدوه في البيوت منهن، حتى تقدموا)).

حدثنا عبد الله بن سعيدٍ الأشج، قال: حدثنا أبو خالدٍ الأحمر، عن حاتم بن أبي صغيرة، عن ابن أبي مليكة، قال: قتلت عائشة -رضي الله عنها- جاناً، فأتيت في المنام، فقيل لها: أما والله! لقد قتلتيه مسلماً، فقالت: لو كان مسلماً، ما دخل على أمهات المؤمنين، فقيل: ما دخل عليك إلا وأنت مستترةٌ، فتصدقت، وأعتقت رقاباً.

حدثنا أبي رحمه الله، قال: حدثنا أبو نعيمٍ، قال: حدثنا سفيان، عن أبي إسحاق، عن ثابت بن قطبة الثقفي، قال: جاء رجلٌ إلى عبد الله، فقال: إنا كنا في سفرٍ، فمررنا بحية مقتولة مشعرة في دمها، فواريناها، فلما نزلوا: أتاهم نسوةٌ، أو أناسٌ، فقالوا: أيكم صاحب عمرٍو؟ قالوا: من عمرٌو؟ قالوا: الحية التي دفنتموها أمس، أما إنه من النفر الذين أسلموا، واستمعوا من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قلنا: ما شأنه؟ قال: كان جانٌّ من الجن، مسلمون ومشركون بينهم قتالٌ، فقتل.
