حدثنا حميد بن الربيع اللخمي قال: حدثنا يزيد بن حيان، قال: حدثني (عمر البزاز جليس حماد بن سلمة)، قال: حدثنا الحسن بن ذكوان، عن عبد الرحمن ابن قيسٍ، عن عبادة بن الصامت، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((الأبدال ثلاثون رجلاً: قلوبهم على قلب إبراهيم -عليه الصلاة والسلام-، إذا مات رجلٌ منهم، أبدل الله مكانه آخر)).

حدثنا عمر بن يحيى بن نافع الأبلي، قال: حدثنا العلاء بن زيدلٍ، عن أنس بن مالك رضي الله عنه قال: البدلاء أربعون رجلاً: اثنان وعشرين بالشام، وثمانية عشر بالعراق، كلما مات واحد، بدل آخر، فإذا كان عند القيامة، ماتوا كلهم.قال أبو عبد الله: فليس في الحديثين اختلافٌ، إنما هم أربعون رجلاً، ثلاثون منهم: قلوبهم على قلب إبراهيم عليه السلام، كذلك روي لنا عن أبي الدرداء.

حدثنا بذلك عبد الرحيم بن حبيب، قال: حدثنا داود بن محبرٍ، عن ميسرة، عن أبي عبد الله الشامي، عن مكحولٍ، عن أبي الدرداء رضي الله عنه، قال: الأنبياء كانوا أوتاد الأرض، فلما انقطعت النبوة، أبدل الله مكانهم قوماً من أمة محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم يقال لهم: الأبدال، لم يفضلوا الناس بكثرة صوم، ولا صلاة، ولا تسبيح، ولكن بحسن الخلق، وبصدق الورع، وبحسن النية، وسلامة قلوبهم لجميع المسلمين، والنصيحة لله ابتغاء مرضاة الله بصبر وحلم ولبٍّ وتواضع في غير مذلة، فهم خلفاء عن الأنبياء، قومٌ اصطفاهم الله لنفسه، واستخلصهم بعلمه لنفسه، وهم أربعون صديقاً، منهم ثلاثون رجلاً على مثل يقين إبراهيم خليل الرحمن، بهم تدفع المكاره عن أهل الأرض، والبلايا عن الناس، وبهم يمطرون، وبهم يرزقون، لا يموت الرجل منهم أبداً حتى يكون الله قد أنشأ من يخلفه، لا يلعنون شيئاً، ولا يؤذون من تحتهم، ولا يتطاولون عليهم، ولا يحقرونهم، ولا يحسدون من فوقهم، ولا يحرصون على الدنيا، ليسوا بمتماوتين، ولا متكبرين، ولا متخشعين، أطيب الناس خبراً، وأورعهم أنفساً، وأسخاهم أنفساً، طبيعتهم السخاء، وصفتهم السلامة من دعوى الناس قبلهم، ليسوا بمتخشعين، ولا بمتماوتين، لا تتفرق صفتهم، ليسوا اليوم في حالة خشية، وغداً في حال غفلة، ولكن متداومين على حالهم، وهم فيما بينهم وبين ربهم، ولا يدركهم الريح العاصف، ولا الخيل المجراة، قلوبهم تصعد في السماء ارتياحاً إلى الله، واشتياقاً إليه، قدماً في اشتياقهم الخيرات، {أولئك حزب الله ألا إن حزب الله هم المفلحون}.قلت: يا أبا الدرداء! ما شيءٌ أثقل علي من هذه الصفة التي وصفتها، فكيف لي أن أدركها؟قال: ليس بينك وبين أن تكون في أوسط ذلك، إلا أن تبغض الدنيا، فإنك إذا أبغضت الدنيا، أقبل عليك حب الآخرة، فبقدر ما تزهد في الدنيا تحب الآخرة، وبقدر ما تحب الآخرة تبصر ما ينفعك وما يضرك، فإذا علم الله صدق الطلب من عبده، أفرغ عليه السداد، واكتنفه بعصمته، وتصديق ذلك في كتاب الله: {إن الله مع الذين اتقوا والذين هم محسنون}. فنظرنا في ذلك، فما تلذذ المتلذذون بشيء أفضل من حب الله، وطلب مرضاته.

حدثنا أبي رحمه الله، قال: حدثنا سليمان، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن عبد الله بن أبي فروة، عن محمود بن لبيدٍ، عن حذيفة بن اليمان، قال: الأبدال بالشام، وهم أربعون رجلاً على منهاج إبراهيم، كلما مات رجل منهم، أبدل الله مكانه آخر، والعصب بالعراق أربعون رجلاً، كلما مات رجل منهم، أبدل الله مكانه آخر، عشرون منهم على اجتهاد عيسى بن مريم، وعشرون منهم قد أوتوا مزامير آل داود.العصب: رجال تشبه الأبدال.وروي عن وهب بن منبه: فيما يحكى في مناجاة موسى -عليه الصلاة والسلام-، عن الله -تبارك اسمه-: أنه قال: هم أربعون صديقاً، كلهم بي ولي وإلي.وروي في الخبر: أن الأرض شكت إلى الله ذهاب الأنبياء، وانقطاع النبوة، فقال لها: سوف أجعل على ظهرك صديقين أربعين، فسكنت.فالصديقون إنما بانوا من الخلق بصدق القلوب مع الله، لا بصدق الأعمال مع الملائكة، وهذا مقام القلوب عند الله، قد باينوا الخلق والنفس، والعمال ليس لقلوبهم طريق إلى الله، إنما طريق قلوبهم إلى الثواب، والأنبياء والصديقون من بعدهم قد انكشف الغطاء عنهم، وصار لهم إلى الله طريق حتى يعبدوه، كأنهم يرونه. كما قال صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((اعبد الله كأنك تراه)).وهو ما وعد الله من هداية السبل للذين جاهدوا فيه، فقال: {والذين جاهدوا فينا لنهدينهم سبلنا}.ومن جاهد نفسه في ذات الله صدقاً، هداه لسبيله، فقوي على التفويض والتوكل، ألا ترى إلى قول الرسل: {وما لنا ألا نتوكل على الله وقد هدانا سبلنا ولنصبرن على ما آذيتمونا}.فالتوكل والصبر الصافي، إنما هو للمهدي سبيله، وهو الذي أعطي اليقين، فأشرق صدره بنور مليكه، فصار من الأمور على معاينة، ومن القلب على مشاهدة للنجوى في محل القربة.فأما العمال: فليسوا من هذا الأمر في شيء، وإنما أعينهم إلى ثوابه وعقابه، وإلى أعمالهم لهما، والصديقون أعينهم إلى الله في كل أمر دنيا وآخرة، فسموا أبدالاً لوجهين: وجه: أنه كلما مات رجل منهم، أبدل مكانه آخر لتمام الأربعين.ووجه آخر: أنهم بدلوا أخلاقهم السيئة، وراضوا أنفسهم حتى صارت محاسن أخلاقهم حلية أعمالهم ونحلتهم.وأما قوله في مناجاة موسى صلى الله عليه وسلم: (كلهم بي ولي وإلي) أي: بي يقومون ويقعدون وينطقون، وبي يأخذون ويعطون.وهو قول رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فيما يحكي عن الله تبارك اسمه: ((فإذا أحببت عبدي، كنت سمعه وبصره ولسانه ويده ورجله وفؤاده، فبي يسمع، وبي يبصر، وبي ينطق، وبي يأخذ، وبي يعطي، وبي يعقل)).وقوله: (لي) أي: هم صفوتي، قد بذلوا لي قلوبهم ونفوسهم، فهم لي لا تشركني فيهم نفوسهم.وقوله: (إليّ) أي: تأوي قلوبهم إلي في كل أمرٍ وسعيٍ وحالٍ.فأما صفة الثلاثين الذين قال لهم: إن قلوبهم على قلب إبراهيم، فأولئك هم الذين لا تسكن قلوبهم إلى من دونه في شيء من أمر الدين والدنيا، قد ولهت قلوبهم، ووقعت في قبضته.وأما العصب: فهم المحقون، فمنهم مستعملون على طريق الجهد، ومنهم روحانيون، قد أوتوا من مزامير داود.
