Sahih

حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيدٍ، قال: حدثنا أبو عوانة، عن قتادة، عن أنس بن مالك رضي الله عنه، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((يهرم ابن آدم، ويشب منه اثنتان: الحرص على المال، والحرص على العمر)). قال أبو عبد الله: فالحرص: لهبان الشهوة، وهو الذي يستفز الآدمي، ويعجله، ويحير عقله، ويخمد نوره، ويغلي في صدره.والشهوة نارٌ ذات دخانٍ، فكلما زدت النار وقوداً، ازدادت نوراً وتلهباً، واستجرت تلظياً.فإنما ذكر المال؛ لأنه رأس الشهوات، وبه تنال جميع الشهوات، وإنما سمي مالاً؛ لأنه يميل بالقلب عن الله.وإنما ذكر العمر؛ لأنه بدوام العمر تدوم له الشهوات، وبالعمر يملك المال، فإذا ذهب العمر، زال المال، وتعطلت الشهوات، فوجدت نفس ابن آدم لذة الشهوات، ولذة دوام العمر، فتشبثت به، واستأثرت القلب، فذهبت بالرقبة، فإذا هو عبد آبق هارب من مولاه، تنكب على وجهه، فجسده في إدبار ونقصان، وفي نقصان من القوة، ووجود اللذة، وقضاء الشهوة هرم، والهرم الخالي من الأشياء، قد خلت طبائعه من الحرارة والقوى، وقحل جلده؛ لانتشاف الحياة ماء جلدته، فاصفرت جلدته، ورق عظمه، وانتشف النقص ماء شبابه، وهو في ازدياد من الحرص على هذين لا يزالان يشبان منه حتى ينفد عقله، ولا يطفئ لهبان الحرص إلا الإيمان بالله، فكلما ازداد العبد إيماناً بربه، وطمأنينته إليه، وكلما ازداد من الثقة بربه، ازداد به غنًى، ومن استغنى بالله، فهو الغني وهو قول رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((ليس الغنى عن كثرة العرض، إنما الغنى غنى النفس)).

حدثنا بذلك عبد الجبار، قال: حدثنا سفيان عن أبي الزناد، عن الأعرج، عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم.فإذا استغنت النفس بالله لما ولج في الصدر من نور اليقين المنشرح به صدره، صار عرض الدنيا فضلاً.

حدثنا الجارود، قال: حدثنا يزيد بن هارون، قال: حدثنا المسعودي، عن أبي عمر، عن مكحولٍ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((نفس ابن آدم شابةٌ ولو التقت ترقوتاه من الكبر، إلا من امتحن الله قلبه للتقوى، وقليلٌ ما هم)).فهذا قد كشف عن معنى ما ذكرنا، وذلك أن النفس معدن الشهوات، فهي شابةٌ؛ لأن تلك الشهوات بمنزلة النار لا تزال متوقدة ما زالت واجدة للحطب، فإذا أمسك عنها الحطب، طفئت، فخمدت، فكذلك شأن النفس، لا تزال رطبةً متوقدة تجر شهواتها متلظية بحرها، ما دامت واجدة للنعم، فإذا أمسك عنها، ذبلت، ويبست، فإذا امتحن الله قلباً للتقوى، قوي صاحبه على الامتناع من قضاء الشهوات واللذات، فولج النور قلبه، وانشرح الصدر، ودخلت الخشية، وجاءت الأحزان، ودامت الفكر فيما أمامه من الخطر الصعب العظيم، وعظائم الأهوال، فهم الذين استثناهم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم من أن تشب نفوسهم وهي شهواتهم، وقليل ما هم.والامتحان هو: أن يستخرج سره، والسر: هو النور الذي قذفه في قلبه، فإذا استقر ذاك في قلبه، وأشرق في صدره، صار ذلك وقايةً له من جميع مكاره الآخرة، فقيل: تقوى، وإنما هو: وقوى، وحولت الواو تاء، ومأخذه: من الوقاية، فإذا فعل ذلك، فقد امتحنه؛ أي: استخرج سره للوقاية التي في صدره وقلبه؛ لأنه يظهر على الأركان بالأفعال المحمودة المرضية.فالنفوس شابة وإن هرمت الجوارح، وانهدت الأركان؛ لدوام التنعم بالمال والعمر، إلا هذه الطبقة الممتحنة التي استثناهم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فنفوسهم هرمت في وقت شبابهم، وحداثة أسنانهم؛ لأن شهواتهم قد ذبلت وضعفت بما ولجت تلك القلوب من الخشية والأحزان لما اطلعوا عليه بقلوبهم من علم الملكوت، ولعلمهم بالله صاروا سبياً من سبيه، والمشغوف سبي من به شغف، فإذا شغفت بدنيا، فأنت سبيها، وإذا شغفت بالآخرة، فأنت سبيها، وإن شغفت بالخالق، فأنت سبيه، ومن استولى على قلبك شأنه، فأنت له، هذا جملة الكلام.وإن ابن آدم ركب في طبعه أن لا تزال نفسه تجمح في طلب شيء، حتى إذا اطلع على أفضل منه، رفضت هذه، وأقبلت على الأفضل، فلا يزال طالباً، حتى إذا اطلع على الآخرة، رفض هذه، وأقبل عليها، فلا يزال لها طالباً، حتى إذا طالع الملكوت، أقبل على مولاه، ولها عن ذكر الدارين، واشتغل بالماجد الكريم، فرآه سلس القياد، منكسر القلب، قد أخذت الأحزان بمجامع قلبه، فقطعته عن فكر الدنيا وأهلها، وما هم فيه، فهو حبيس الله في سجنه.وهو قول رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((الدنيا سجن المؤمن، وجنة الكافر)).والمسجون: عينه إلى الباب، يراقب دعوة متى يدعى فيجيب.
