حدثنا محمد بن عليٍّ الحكيم الترمذي رحمه الله، قال:حدثنا الفضل بن محمدٍ الواسطي، حدثنا أيوب بن محمدٍ الرقي، قال: حدثنا الوليد بن الوليد أبو العباس الدمشقي، عن ثابت بن يزيد، عن الأوزاعي، عن الزهري، عن عروة، قال: سمعت عائشة -رضي الله عنها- تقول: كان نبي الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: ((مكارم الأخلاق عشرٌ تكون في الرجل، ولا تكون في ابنه، وتكون في الابن، ولا تكون في أبيه، وتكون في العبد، ولا تكون في سيده، يقسمها الله تعالى لمن أراد به السعادة: صدق الحديث، وصدق البأس، وإعطاء السائل، والمكافأة بالصنائع، وحفظ الأمانة، وصلة الرحم، والتذمم للجار، والتذمم للصاحب، وإقراء الضيف، ورأسهن الحياء)).

حدثنا الجارود، قال: حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان، عن الإفريقي، عن يزيد بن أبي منصورٍ، عن عائشة، بمثله،ولم يرفعه.فكل خلق من هذه الأخلاق مكرمة لمن منحها.وجاء عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((إن الأخلاق مخزونةٌ عند الله، فإذا أراد الله بعبدٍ خيراً، منحه منها خلقاً)).فهذه أخلاق الله التي خرجت من أسمائه، والخلق والعادة بمعنى واحد، وأما الأخلاق التي ركب عليها الآدمي، فقد عم الجميع، تلك أخلاق الطبيعة، ثم له منائح من فضله لعبيد من عبيده يختصهم بمشيئته مناً منه عليهم بخلق وخلقين وثلاثة وأكثر من ذلك من المخزونات، وإنما قيل: مخزونات؛ لأنها له، فيعطي بمنه من عنده من أحب من عباده.وروي عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: أنه قال: ((إنما بعثت لأتمم صالح الأخلاق)).يدل قوله: على أن الأنبياء قبله قد كانت معهم هذه الأخلاق، وعليهم منها بقية، فبعث محمداً صلى الله عليه وسلم ليتممها.وروي عنه صلى الله عليه وسلم: أنه قال: ((إن لله مئة وسبعة عشر خلقاً، من أتاه بواحدةٍ منها، دخل الجنة)).وقال: ((إن الله تعالى يحب معالي الأخلاق)).وإذا جعل من محابه في عبدٍ من عبيده، أنجاه محبوبه.وروي عنه: أنه قال: ((إن الله تعالى قسم بينكم أخلاقكم كما قسم بينكم أرزاقكم)).فكما كان بين الأرزاق تفاوتٌ بعيد، فكذلك في الأخلاق، وإن الله يحب العبد على أخلاقه إذا تخلق بها له؛ فإذا تخلق بها لدنيا، كان من حرمة تلك المكرمة التي أعطيها أن يعقبه منها معروفاً؛ فإن كان ظالماً، تيب عليه، ورزق الإنابة، وإن مات على غير توبة، رحم، وغفر له بحرمة ذلك الخلق، وإن كان كافراً، خفف عنه العذاب.ألا ترى إلى قول رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لأم حبيبة: ((ذهب حسن الخلق بخير الدنيا والآخرة)).وقال: ((إنه لينال بحسن الخلق درجة الصائم القائم)).وقال في حديث الرؤيا: ((رأيت رجلاً من أمتي جاثياً على ركبتيه بينه وبين الله حجابٌ، فجاء حسن خلقه، فأدخله على الله)).فتأويل هذه الرؤيا عندنا: أن سوء الخلق حجاب على القلب، ولا يستقر اليقين في قلبه؛ لأن مدانئ الأخلاق تظلم القلب، وتحجبه؛ فحسن الخلق وصفاؤه يوصل القلب إلى الله.

حدثنا الجارود، قال: حدثنا يزيد بن هارون، عن المسعودي، عن معن بن عبد الرحمن، قال: قال عبد الله: نجد الرجل فظًّا، فإذا بحثته، وجدت سريرته الإيمان، ونجده حلو الخلائق، فإذا بحثته، لم تجد فيه من الإيمان شيئاً، ومن شاء الله، جمع له حلاوة الدين، وحلاوة الخلق.

حدثنا عمر بن أبي عمر، قال: حدثنا عبد الحميد بن صالحٍ البرجمي، عن زكريا بن عبد الله ابن يزيد الصهباني، عن أبيه، عن كميل بن زيادٍ النخعي، عن علي بن أبي طالبٍ رضي الله عنه، قال: سبحان الله! ما أزهد الناس في الخير! عجبت لرجل يجيئه أخوه المسلم في حاجة، لا يرى نفسه للخير أهلاً، فلو كنا لا نرجو جنة، ولا نخشى ناراً، ولا ثواباً، ولا عقاباً؛ لكان ينبغي لنا أن نطلب مكارم الأخلاق؛ فإنها مما تدل على سبيل النجاح، فقام رجل فقال: فداك أبي وأمي يا أمير المؤمنين، سمعته من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم؟ قال: نعم، وما هو خيرٌ منه، لما أتانا سبايا طيئٍ، وقعت لي جاريةٌ حماء، حواء، لعساء، لمياء، عيطاء، مسنونة الخدين، صلتة الجبين، مقرونة الحاجبين، صغيرة الأذنين، شماء الأنف، مقبوضة الهامة، درماء الكعبين، خدلج الساقين، لفاء الفخذين، خميصة الخصرين، ممكورة الكشحين، مصقولة المتنين، فلما رأيتها، أعجبت بها، وقلت: لأطلبن إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أن يجعلها من فيئي، فلما تكلمت، نسيت جمالها لما رأيت من فصاحتها، فقالت: يا محمد! إن رأيت أن تخلي عني، ولا تشمت بي أحياء العرب، وإني ابنة سرة قومي، كان أبي يفك العاني، ويحمي الديار، ويقري الضيف، ويشبع الجائع، ويفرج عن المكروب، ويطعم الطعام، ويفشي السلام، ولم يرد طالب حاجةٍ قط، وأنا بنت حاتم طيٍّ، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((يا جارية! هذه صفة المؤمن حقًّا، لو كان أبوك إسلاميًّا، لترحمنا عليه، خلوا عنها؛ فإن أباها كان يحب مكارم الأخلاق، والله يحب مكارم الأخلاق))، فقام أبو بردة فقال: يا رسول الله! آلله يحب مكارم الأخلاق؟ فقال: ((يا أبا بردة! لا يدخل الجنة أحدٌ إلا بحسن الخلق)).قوله: (جارية حماء) ورجل أحم: وهو الذي شفته سوداء، والحواء واللعساء مثله، إلا أن الحماء أشد سواداً، واللعساء: أقل منه سواداً، وباطنها إلى الحمرة، واللمياء: أقل سواداً، وظاهرها سواد، وباطنها إلى لون الشفاه، وفي شفتيها رطوبة.والعيطاء: طويلة العنق، يقال: رجل أعيط، وامرأة عيطاء، وأجيد وجيداء، وأعنق وعنقاء، كل هذا إذا كان في عنقه طولٌ، والعيط: طول في استدارة فارتواء، والجيد والعنق يراد به الطول فقط.قوله: (مسنونة الخدين) أي: مصونة الخدين، وهو أن يكون سهلاً في استواء، ليس بالمكلثم الذي قد تراكم اللحم عليه، والسن: الصب، وإنما قيل: مسنونة؛ لاستواء الوجنتين بالخدين، فكأنه شيء واحد من استوائه وهو أحسن الوجوه، يقال: هذا رجل مسنون الوجه؛ أي: منصبٌّ مستوي الخدين، وأما إذا كان لحماً أعالى حر وجهه، فإنه وجيه، فما علا منه أسفل من العين، فهو وجنة، وما كان أسفل من الوجنة، فهوخد، فإذا لم يكن هناك لحم، يقال: مسنون الخد، ومسنون الوجه؛ أي: منصب مستوٍ، فإذا كان هناك لحم، قيل: رجل أوجن، وامرأة وجناء، وذلك الموضع منه يسمى الوجنة، فإذا لم يكن لحم، لا يقال له: وجنة، إنما يقال له: خد.وقوله: (صلتة الجبين)، فالصلت: الواسع المستوي، والجبين: ناحيتا الجبهة، والجبهة: مسجده، والجبين ناحيته عن يمين الجبهة، وعن شمالها.وقوله: (مقرونة الحاجبين) أي: متصلة.وقوله: (شماء الأنف)؛ أي: طويلة في رقة وارتفاع، يقال: رجل أشم، وامرأة شماء.وقوله: (مقبوضة الهامة)؛ أي: هامتها ليست لها نتق، ولا إفاضة، إنما هي مجتمعة في مستقر واستواءٍ.وقوله: (درماء الكعبين)، والدرم: اللصوق والقرب، وهو أن يكونملتصقاً بالساق والقدم، لا فرجة هناك، ولا سعة، كأنه وصف بالضيق والقرب بعضه من بعض.قوله: (خدلجة الساقين) وهو أن يكون مستديراً في دبر لحم ووفارة؛ كطي الطوامير من الاستدارة، وظهر ساقها كعضلة من الاستواء والتدوير.وقوله: (لفاء الفخذين)؛ أي: كثيرة اللحم، فقد التفا؛ أي: قرب أحدهما من الآخر من لحامته.قوله: (خميصة الخصرين) وهو أن ينضم خصراها.والخصر: ما بين الحجبة والقصرى من الأضلاع.والخصر والخاصرة بمعنى واحد.والحجبة: طرف العجز المشرف على مراق البطن.والحرقفة: طرف العجز عند الصلب.والماكبة: ما بين الحرقفة والحجبة مما أقبل على الخاصرة.والعجز: ما بين الحجبتين والجاعرتين.والورك: العظم الذي على طرف الفخذ، فقد وصل بين الفخذ والعجز.والجاعرة: حد الورك، وهو موضع الكي من الحمار.والخصر: هو ما ذكرناه.والخمص: هو اللحوق بالصلب حتى كأنه جائع من خواه وانضمامه.ويقال: رجل أهيف، وامرأة هيفاء، فهو مثل ما وصفنا إذا كان خصراه قد لحقا عمود بطنه، وكذلك روي في صفة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: خمصان القدمين.يقال: رجل خمصان، وامرأة خمصانة، وهو الذي قد لطف خاصرتاه حتى استويا، فلا يرى له نتق، والتزقت ضلوعه، وتدانى صدره، ودق صلبه، فلم يفاوت بعضه بعضاً.قوله: (ممكورة الكشحين) فالممكورة: الممتلئة ريًّا من اللحم، والوفارة.والكشح: فوق الخاصرة إلى حيال الإبط من الجنبين.قوله: (مصقولة المتنين) فالعفار: متوسط الصلب والمتنين عن يمين الصلب وعن شماله، وهما ناحيتاه، كأنه يقول: لهما بريق من الصفاء واللين، فكأنه قد صقل متناه، وهما من المنكب إلى الوركين مما قد اكتنفا الصلب.قولها: (بنت سرة قومي): يقال في اللغة: هذا سرة قومه؛ أي: معتمدهم ومتوسطهم.قولها: (يفك العاني)؛ أي: الأسير، (ويحمي الديار): يكون حامية قومه، (ومن لجأ إليه).فأما ما ذكر من مكارم الأخلاق، فعد عشراً منها:(صدق الحديث): فصدق الحديث من الإيمان، لأن الكذب مجانب للإيمان، وذلك أن الرجل إذا كذب، فقال: كان كذا، ولم يكن ذلك،فقد افترى على الله؛ لأنه زعم: أن الله عز وجل قد كونه، وإن كان ذلك، فزعم أنه لم يكن، فقد افترى على الله.فمن هاهنا قال أبو بكر الصديق رضي الله عنه: الكذب مجانب للإيمان.فصدق الحديث من الإيمان، وصدق الناس من الثقة بالله شجاعة، وسماحة، وإعطاء السائل من الرحمة، والمكافأة بالصنائع من الشكر، وحفظ الأمانة من الوفاء، وصلة الرحم من العطف، والتذمم للجار من نزاهة النفس، والتذمم للصاحب منه أيضاً، وقرى الضيف من سخاوة النفس، والحياء من عفة الروح؛ فكل خلق من هذه الأخلاق مكرمة عظيمة، يسعد بالواحدة منها صاحبها، فكيف بمن جمعت له هذه المكارم كلها؟والأخلاق الحسنة كثيرة، وكلها تقرب إلى الله، ولكن هذه مكارم تلك الأخلاق، فكل مكرمة منها تمنح العبد؛ فهي له شرف وفضيلة في الدنيا والآخرة، رفعة ووسيلة.
