أنا قتيبة بن سعيد، عن ابن وهب، عن عمرو ابن الحارث، عن دراج، عن أبي الهيثم، عن أبي سعيد، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((كل حرفٍ ذكر الله في القرآن [من] القنوت، فهي الطاعة)).قال أبو عبد الله رحمه الله:فإنما صرفه إلى الطاعة؛ لأنها أكشف الأسماء، وأشهرها عند الناس، والعام إنما يعرف الطاعة والمعصية، فكل ما أمر الله به، فهو الطاعة، وكل ما نهى الله عنه، فهو معصية.فأما حاصل الاسم:فالطاعة: بذل النفس لله فيما أمر ونهى، والمعصية: امتناع النفس واستبدادها؛ لأن الله تعالى دعا العباد للوقوف بين يديه كالعبيد.فالمؤمنون أجابوا دعوته، وقبلوا العبودة، ثم دعاهم بعد ذلك إلى شيء بعد شيء من الأمر والنهي؛ ليأتمروا بأمره، وينتهوا عن نهيه، فمن ائتمر بأمره، وانتهى عن نهيه، فقد وفى بتلك الإجابة في المبتدأ، وبذلك القبول، فقيل: قد أطاع، فهو مطيع؛ أي: قد أعطى ذلك البذل الذي قبله في المبتدأ، فقوله: أعطى وأطاع، معناهما من حيث ما ذكرناه واحد، مشتق بعضها من بعض، وحروفهما في العدد سواءٌ وفي التأليف مختلفة، قدم العين هاهنا، وأخر العين هناك؛ لتباين المعنيين؛ ليستعمل هذا في عطاء العبودة، ويستعمل ذلك في عطاء الأشياء المملوكة.والمعصية: من التعيص، وهو اشتداد النفس وامتناعها، ومنه سمي العصا، يقال في اللغة: تعيص عليه؛ أي: امتنع وتشدد.وأما القنوت: فهو الركود، وكل شيء استقر في مكانه فلم يتحرك، فهو راكد، ومن ذلك سمي الماء راكداً: إذا أمسك عن الجري، والسفنرواكد: إذا سكنت الريح، ركدت السفينة، قال الله تعالى في تنزيله: {إن يشأ يسكن الريح فيظللن رواكد على ظهره}.ويقال: قنت ونتق، فالنتوق: أن يقابل الشيء بالشيء راكداً عليه، وذلك قوله تعالى: {وإذ نتقنا الجبل فوقهم كأنه ظلةٌ}.ومنه قول علي بن أبي طالب -كرم الله وجهه- حيث سئل عن البيت المعمور، فقال: هو بيت في السماء السابعة نتاق هذا البيت.أي: بحذائه وقبالته مطلاً عليه.فالنتوق: مقابلة الشيء بالشيء بحذائه.والقنوت: مقابلة قلبك عظمة من وقفت له، وبين يديه؛ فإنه روي عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: أنه قال: ((إذا صلى العبد، أقبل الله عليه بوجهه)).قال أبو عبد الله:فمن حق إقباله عليه: أن يقبل العبد بقلبه على عظمته وجلاله، فهذه مقابلة العبد بقلبه قبالة ربه، وهو القنوت، ومرجعه إلى ما كشفه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: ((هو الطاعة)).لأنه إذا قابله بقلبه، فقد أعطاه بذل النفس، وقد أطاعه، وإنما صار إذا قابله باذلاً لنفسه؛ لأن القلب إذا لاحظ ببصر فؤاده جلاله وعظمته، خلص إلى النفس هول الجلال والعظمة، فانقبضت، وانقمعت، وانخشعت، وذهلت عن هشاشتها، وخمد تلظي نيران شهواتها؛ لما أحست به من ملاحظة الفؤاد، وخلص إليها من الهول.

نا إبراهيم بن يوسف، قال: أنا حماد ابن زيد، عن ليث، عن مجاهد في قوله تعالى: {وقوموا لله قانتين}، قال: القنوت: الركوع والخشوع.قال أبو عبد الله:فجاد ما غاص مجاهد صار على الأصل.وأما السدي عن ابن عباس، قال: {قانتين}؛ أي: مطيعين.فقول ابن عباس: ظاهر التفسير، وقول مجاهد: باطن التفسير.وأما قوله سبحانه: {يا مريم اقنتي لربك واسجدي واركعي مع الراكعين}، فروي في التفسير: أنه قال: قومي لربك.فالقيام غير القنوت، ولو كان القنوت قياماً؛ لاستحال أن يقول: قوموا لله قانتين، ألا ترى أنه أمرهم بالقيام، ثم بالقنوت، فالقنوت صفة فعل يحدث عن القيام.فقوله لمريم: {اقنتي لربك}؛ أي: أطيعي لربك، فهذا تفسير الظاهر، ولكن أريد من مريم القنوت في الباطن، وهو أن تقبل بقلبها على الله مظلة على النفس، مشتملة على شهواتها؛ لئلا تتحرك ويتفرق غليانها، وتجيش حتى يفور دخانها إلى الصدر إلى محل إشراق نور الألوهية؛ فإنه ليس من حق عطايا ربنا أن يعطي عند إشراق نور عظمته في صدره، فيهمل العبد حراسته ورعايته حتى تفور حرارة شهواته؛ كفوران القدر التي تغلي إلى صدره، كالدخان بين يدي نور العظمة في صدره، فإذافعل ذلك، حجب؛ لأن ذلك الفوران كالدخان، فإذا هاج من النفس، وتأدى إلى الصدر، امتنع الإشراق، واحتجب، وبقي العبد محجوباً كأنه صار خالياً من الزكاء.فأمرت مريم بالقنوت؛ أي: بالدوام، وبالركود بمقابلة القلب قبالة عظمة الله؛ حتى يدوم لها التعظيم لجلال الله، ولذلك سمي دعاء الوتر: قنوتاً؛ لأن الصلاة وقوفٌ وتخشعٌ، وتذللٌ يؤدي فرضه؛ لوفارة أعماله، وتقصيره وذنوبه، فإذا قنت، فإنما خرج من صلاته التي افترض عليه، وقام له معترضاً على ربه إلى موقف آخر؛ برغبة ورهبة، فسمي قنوتاً؛ لأن ذلك مقام خرج من فعل صلاته إليه، ودخل فيه بتكبيره، فقابل بقلبه محل الرغبة والرهبة، ومن قبل التكبير كان في محل التذلل والتخشع بين يدي عظمته، والآن في محل الرهبة والرغبة بين يدي جوده وكرمه، فتباين التقابلان والموقفان. والله سبحانه أعلم.
