حدثنا الفضل بن محمدٍ، قال: حدثنا هشام بن عبد الملك الحمصي، قال: حدثني بقية بن الوليد، قال: حدثني ابن أبي روادٍ، عن نافعٍ، عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((لا تبدؤوا بالكلام قبل السلام، ومن بدأكم بالكلام قبل السلام، فلا تجيبوه)).فشرط الله مع هذه الأمة في دينهم أن يأمن بعضهم بعضاً، ويسلم بعضهم من بعض، ولذلك سماهم مؤمنين ومسلمين، وعلم الله آدم الأسماء كلها، والأسماء سمات الشيء، فكل اسم دليل على صاحبه، ومشتق من معناه، فالأسماء التي علم آدم هي على الحقائق عند الله، ثم صارت الأسماء في أرضه مستعارة بعضها من بعض، جعلوها سمات فيما بينهم؛ كقوله: صالح، وإنما هو طالح.وقوله: حسن وجميل، وإنما هو قبيح وذميم، وقوله: ميمون، وهو مشؤوم، فهذه أسماء يتداعون فيما بينهم، ويتعارفون بها، فالأسماء الأصلية هي التي جاءت من عند الله؛ مثل: يحيى، وأحمد، قال -تبارك اسمه-: {إنا نبشرك بغلامٍ اسمه يحيى}. أي عندي ثم قال: {لم يجعل له من قبل سميًّا}؛ أي: لم نجعل قبله أحداً لا يذنب؛ لأن يحيى من الحياة؛ فقد أحيا الله قلبه به، فلم يذنب، ولم يهم به.

حدثنا بذلك سفيان، قال: حدثنا العلاء ابن عبد الجبار، عن حماد بن سلمة، عن علي بن زيدٍ، عن يوسف بن مهران، عن ابن عباسٍ رضي الله عنهما، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((ما من آدميٍّ إلا وقد أخطأ، أو هم بخطيئةٍ، غير يحيى بن زكريا -صلوات الله عليهما-)).وكذلك أحمد.قال الله في تنزيله: {ومبشراً برسولٍ يأتي من بعدي اسمه أحمد}. فهذه أسماء كلها على الحقائق عنده.وروي عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: أنه قال: ((أعطيت ما لم يعط أحدٌ: سميت أحمد، ونصرت بالرعب)).فكذلك شأن هذه الأمة والأمم، كل أمة تسمت باسم من تلقاء نفسها، فقالت طائفة: نحن يهود، وقالت الأخرى: نحن نصارى، وقالت الأخرى: نحن الصابئون، وقالت هؤلاء: نحن مجوس، فولي الله تسمية هذه الأمة، فقال: {هو سماكم المسلمين من قبل}؛ أي: في اللوح المحفوظ، والكتب، {وفي هذا}؛ أي: في هذا الكتاب.ثم قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((إن الله سمى أمتي، فاشتق لها اسمين من اسمه؛ فهو السلام، والمؤمن، وسماهم مسلمين ومؤمنين)).فاسم هذه الأمة على الحقيقة الأصلية التي علم آدم، فاقتضى منها وفاء هذا الاسم أن يأمن بعضهم بعضاً، ويسلم بعضهم من بعض، ولذلك قال: {إنما المؤمنون إخوةٌ فأصلحوا بين أخويكم}، وقال: {والمؤمنون والمؤمنات بعضهم أولياء بعضٍ}.فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((المؤمنون كرجلٍ واحد)) يفشوا شأن الولاية بعضهم لبعض بهذا القول.فوضعت هذه التحية فيما بينهم كرامة لهم، فإن بني إسرائيل كانوا إذا لقي بعضهم بعضاً، احتاج أن ينحني له، ويومئ برأسه كهيئة السجود، فتلك تحيتهم كي يأمن بعضهم بعضاً، فأكرم الله هذه الأمة بأن جعل تحيتهم على ألسنتهم أشرف القول وأطيبها من قوله: السلام عليكم.

حدثنا عبد الوارث بن عبد الصمد، قال: حدثنا أبي،، قال: حدثنا زربيٌّ مؤذن مسجد هشام بن حسان، قال: حدثنا أنس بن مالكٍ رضي الله عنه، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((إن الله أعطى أمتي ثلاثاً لم يعط أحدٌ قبلهن: السلام، وهي تحية أهل الجنة، وصفوف الملائكة، وآمين، إلا ما كان من موسى وهارون)).معناه: أن موسى عليه السلام دعا على فرعون، وأمن هارون فقال الله -تبارك اسمه- عندما ذكر دعاء موسى عليه السلام في تنزيله: {قد أجيبت دعوتكما}.ولم يذكر مقالة هارون، وقال: {أجيبت دعوتكما}.وقال في مبتدأ الآية: {وقال موسى ربنا}.فكان من هارون التأمين، فسماه داعياً في تنزيله؛ إذ صير ذلك منه دعوة، فإنما جعل السلام، وهو اسم من أسمائه، موضوعاً بينهم؛ ليكون أماناً للعباد؛ لأن أهل الجاهلية كان يقتل بعضهم بعضاً، ويغير بعضهم على بعض، فلما أكرمهم الله بالإسلام، كان من شرط هذا الدين أن يكونوا كالاسم الذي سماهم الله به، يأمن بعضهم بعضاً، ويسلم بعضهم من بعض في الدم والعرض والمال.ومن هاهنا قال أبو بكر الصديق رضي الله عنه: السلام أمان للعباد فيما بينهم.

حدثنا إبراهيم بن عبد الله الخلال، قال: أخبرنا عبد الله بن المبارك، قال: أخبرنا يحيى بن أيوب، عن عبيد الله بن زحر، عن علي بن يزيد، عن القاسم، عن أبي أمامة، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((من بدأ بالسلام، فهو أولى بالله ورسوله)).فأولاهم بالله أوفرهم حظاً من أن يأمنه الناس، ويسلموا منه، فلما كان هذا السلام مأمن العباد فيما بينهم، كان من بدأ بالكلام قد ترك الحق والحرمة، فحقيق أن لا يجاب.
