حدثنا قتيبة، وسفيان بن وكيعٍ، قالا: حدثنا عبد الله بن وهبٍ، عن عمرو بن الحارث، عن دراج، عن أبي الهيثم، عن أبي سعيدٍ رضي الله عنه، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((لا حليم إلا ذو عثرةٍ، ولا حكيم إلا ذو تجربةٍ)).والحليم: المنشرح صدره، الذي يتسع لمساوئ الخلق، ومدانئ أخلاقهم، وسوء سيرتهم.وروي في الخبر: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: من أصبر الناس على أقذار الخلق.فهذا لانشراح الصدر، يتسع فيه ما تضيق به صدور العامة.وذكر عن الحسن البصري قال: ما سمعت الله نحل عباده شيئاً أقل من الحلم.

حدثنا أحمد بن عبد الرحيم بن خالد بن زيادٍ الحراني، قال: حدثنا إسماعيل بن إبراهيم، عن يونس، قال: سمعت الحسن يقول: ما سمعت الله نحل عباده شيئاً أقل من الحلم؛ فإنه قال: {إن إبراهيم لحليمٌ}،وقال: {فبشرناه بغلامٍ حليمٍ}.فإنما عظم حلمهم، واستوجبوا الثناء من ذي العرش بما ابتلوا، فاتسعت صدورهم للأمر العظيم الذي حل بهم من الذبح، فاتسع صدر إبراهيم لذبح ولده، واتسع صدر الغلام من تسليم ذلك لله.قال الله تعالى: {فلما أسلما وتله للجبين. وناديناه أن يا إبراهيم. قد صدقت الرؤيا}.وقال عز وجل: {أفمن شرح الله صدره للإسلام فهو على نورٍ من ربه}.فالإسلام: هو تسليم النفس لربه عبودة في جميع ما يأتي، وفي جميع ما يحكم عليه في الأحوال، فهذا الحلم.والحلم والملح بمعناه، فكما لا تطيب الأطعمة إلا بالملح، كذلك لا تطيب النفس، ولا يتسع الصدر، ولا يصلح إلا بذلك النور الوارد علىالقلب، فيشرق في الصدر بذلك الحلم، فبه تطيب الأمور في الصدور، فلا تخبث النفس فتخبثها، كما أن الملح لا يترك الأطعمة واللحمان أن تخبث فتنتن.

حدثنا عمر، قال: حدثنا ابن رجاء، عن إسرائيل، عن أبي إسحاق، عن ابن أبزى، قال: قال داود نبي الله:كان أيوب أحلم الناس، وأصبر الناس، وأكظمهم للغيظ.فقول رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((لا حليم إلا ذو عثرةٍ)) يدل على أنه لا يتسع الرجل لما يرى من هذا الخلق إلا بعدما يعثر، فإذا رأى عثرته، رحم الخلق، واتسع لهم، واتقى أن يلوم أحداً، أو يعيره بذنب، لما قد رأى نفسه فيها، ورأى خذلان الله إياه، ورأى شرة النفس وداهيتها، وذهابها بالرقبة إذا أصابت فرصتها، فكما تنظر لنفسه من الله الرحمة، كذلك ينتظر لهم مثل ذلك، وكما ساءه أن يعيره أحد بما كان منه، كذلك يعامل الخلق على العطف والرفق، والستر، والنصيحة، والموعظة الحسنة، فهذا حليم قد استكمل الحلم.وعثرة داود -صلوات الله عليه- وسعته للخطائين، ومن قبل ذلككان يشدد عليهم، ولا يجالسهم، حتى روي في الخبر: أنه قال: يا رب! لا تغفر للخطائين؛ من شدة الغيرة لله، والحنق عليهم، فلما عثر، كان ينظر إلى أغمض مجلس في بني إسرائيل، فيذهب فيقعد معهم، يقول: مسكين بين ظهراني مساكين، وكان يقول: رب! اغفر للخطائين كي تغفر لداود معهم.وقوله: ((لا حكيم إلا ذو تجربةٍ)).فالعقل: يدل على الرشد. والحكمة: نور يكشف عن مكنون الأمور، ولكنه لا يستكمل حكمته مع كشف هذا الغطاء، واطلاعه بالقلب، مطلع الأمور حتى يطالع الأمور بمباشرة النفس؛ فإن كل شيء تجده القلوب، فمباشرة النفس مع القلوب أثبت، فيتأكد.فالحكيم: قد كشف له الغطاء، فيرى عواقب الأمور، فيرى شينها وقبحها، فإذا رأى ذلك بالجوارح، كان ذلك عياناً، لا يدفع، ولا ينسى، فهناك بعد التجارب يستكمل الحكمة؛ لأنها كانت قبل التجربة معاينة القلب، فصارت معاينة العين، كان ذلك علم اليقين، فصار الآن عين اليقين.ألا ترى أن الله تعالى أخبر عن النار فقال: {كلا لو تعلمون علم اليقين. لترون الجحيم}، فهذه رؤية القلب، وهو علم اليقين، {ثم لترونها عين اليقين}؛ أي: يوم القيامة.فهذه رؤية العين، فاعتبر الآن هل يحل بأحد برؤية القلب أم راً مبرماً هناك، ما يحل يومئذٍ برؤية العين ذلك؟ليعلم أن مباشرة الأشياء بالنفس أقوى وأعظم شأنا من معاينة القلب، وقد سمى الله تعالى ذلك: علم اليقين، وهذا عين اليقين.ولهذا ما قيل: إن العقل بالتجارب؛ فالعقل انكشافه والتبحر فيه حتى ينفعك في كل مكان، وكل أمر بالتجارب، وقد جعل الله في العقل شفاء القلوب، وفي الأدوية شفاء النفوس.فالطبيب قد يعلم الطبائع، ويعلم الأدوية بنعوتها وأساميها، وإنما يحذق ويعي إذا جرب الأدوية بالطبائع، فكذلك العقل إذا جرب به الأمور بتجرد معرفة وبصراً.
