حدثنا الفضل بن محمدٍ، قال: حدثنا موسى ابن سهلٍ، عن ابن أبي فديكٍ، قال: حدثني يحيى ابن أبي خالدٍ، عن [ابن] أبي سعيدٍ الأنصاري، عن أبيه، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((التائب من الذنب كمن لا ذنب له، والندم توبةٌ)).فالتائب: حبيب الله؛ {إن الله يحب التوابين ويحب المتطهرين}، والحبيب يستر الحبيب، والحبيب يحب زين الحبيب، فإذا بدا شينٌ، ستره، فإذا أحب الله عبداً، فأذنب، ستره، فصار كمن لا ذنب له، والذنب يدنس العبد، والرجوع إلى الله يطهره، وهو التوبة، فرجعته إليه يصير في محل القربة منه بنوره، ويذهب دنسه. ألا ترى إلى ما روي عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: أنه قال: ((إذا أذنب العبد، نكتت في قلبه نكتةٌ سوداء، فإذا عاد، نكتت أخرى، فإذا تاب صقل قلبه، فذهبت النكتة، وصارت كالمرآة تتلألأ)).ومن هاهنا قال الشعبي: إذا أحب الله عبداً، لم يضره ذنبه.

حدثنا بذلك عبد الله بن الوضاح النخعي قال: حدثنا ابن يمانٍ، عن سفيان، عن عاصمٍ الأحول، عن الشعبي.واعتبر بهذه الرأفة والرحمة التي وضعها الله في الآباء والأمهات، ثم تراهم كيف محل أولادهم منهم في حال البطالة والفساد؛ من الرحمة عليهم، والشفقة، والرفق بهم، والتأني والانتظار، والاحتراق عليهم فيما يخافون عليهم من الوبال، وفرحهم بالتوبة إذا هم تابوا إلى الله، فاعتبر بهذه الرأفة التي في جميع الأمهات والآباء، لو جمعها فوضعها في أم واحدة أو أب واحد لولد واحد، لكان لا يتراءى له فساد هذا الولد، وسيء عمله؛ من عظيم الشفقة عليه، والمحبة له، وكان ذلك ساتراً له، فكيف بالخالق البارئ الماجد الكريم البر الرحيم، الذي يدق جميع رأفة أهل الدنيا ورحمتهم في جنب رحمته من المئة المخلوقة؟ ثم ماذا تكون تلك في جنب الرحمة العظمى التي شملت كل خير للعبيد؟فهذا العبد المؤمن له كل هذا الحظ، فإذا تاب، صار في كنفه، وهو في الأصل حبيبه، فتدق ذنوبه في جنب ما له عنده من الرأفة والرحمة.وإن الله تعالى لما وقعت خيرته وحبابته على عبد من عبيده، أخرجه من بطن أمه إلى الدنيا، فأدركته الهداية بما سلفت منه من الجناية، وكتبعليه هذا الذنب أنه سيصيبه لا محالة، فلما أصابه، لم يتركه حيران، فلم يغلق عنه باب التوبة، وتكرم إن يرجع إليه عبده بصدق الرجوع، أن يقبله، فإذا قبله، صار كمن لا ذنب له في معنى القبول.
