نا أبي، عن قبيصة بن عقبة، عن سفيان، عن جعفر بن برقان، عن يزيد بن الأصم، عن أبي هريرة، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((إن الله لا ينظر إلى صوركم، ولا إلى أموالكم وأحسابكم، ولكن ينظر إلى قلوبكم وأعمالكم)).قال أبو عبد الله رحمه الله:فإنما ينظر إلى القلوب؛ لأنها أوعية الجواهر، وكنوز المعرفة فيها، وينظر إلى أعمال الجوارح؛ لأن مبتدأ الأعمال من القلوب، فإذا نظر إلى الجواهر، فوجدها طرية كهيئتها، محروسة من آفات النفس، مكفوفة عن تناول النفس، وتلمسها شبقاً، شكر لعبده به، فزاده في الجواهر، وبصره بأقدارها وأخطارها حتى يزداد بها غنى، ومن استغنى بالله؛ فلا قوي أقوى منه، وقد أيست النفس من إجابتها، وأيس العدو من غوايته، فإنما ندب العبد إلى التقوى، وصار العبد لله ولياً؛ بأن حرس ما في قلبه من المعرفة، وصيره في وقاية من آفات النفس، فلا يصل إليه آفاتها؛ من أجل صون تلك الجواهر.فإن العدو يأتي بأضدادها، يريد أن يضعها في تلك الأمكنة، وينفي عن قلبه ما وضعه الله تعالى، فإن لم يقدر على النفي، غطاه بما أورد عليه، فلبس عليه؛ بمنزلة رجل في يده جواهر، ودنانير، فأكب عليه خائن مخادع يصحبه، ويخالطه في الأخذ والإعطاء، فإذا أخذ منه جوهراً لينظر إليه، وهي ياقوتة حمراء، فلا يزال يقلبها في كفه ينتظر بلاهته، ويلتمس غرته، حتى يبدله بها خرزة حمراء صافية تشبهها، وصاحبه قليل البصر بالجواهر، إنما معرفته بها إلى ما ينظر من ظاهرها، ويأخذ منه لؤلؤة، فيبدل بها عظماً صافياً يشبهها، ويأخذ منه زمردة، فيبدل بها فلقة من جوهر الزجاج، ويأخذ منه ديناراً، فيبدل به فلساً أصفر مدوراً، فهو لا يعرف من الدينار إلا صفرته، وتدويره، وكتابته، ومن الزمرد إلا خضرته، ومن اللؤلؤة إلا بياضها، ومن الياقوتة إلا حمرتها، فإذا رأى مثلها من الهيئة واللون والصورة، لم ينكر ذلك. فكذلك هذا الموحد، أعطي المعرفة ليوحد، ويتوجه إلى الواحد، ويقبل على الواحد، ويبذل له نفسه عبودة، ويأتمنه على نفسه، ويتخذه وكيلاً، ويفوض إليه أمره، ويترك التدبير عليه، ويثق به، ويركن إليه، ويتذلل لربوبيته، ويتواضع لعظمته، ويتزين لبهائه، ويتخذه عدة لكل نائبة من دنياه أو آخرته، فلما رأى العدو ذلك، حسده، وشمر لاستلاب ما أعطي العبد، فلم يقدر أن يكابره، ويستقبله بالقهر، كما قهر الكفار، وكابرهم، ولكنه خادعه، وأخفى خداعه في ظل النفس، فهو يوسوس إلى النفس، والنفس توسوس إلى القلب.فإذا كان القلب أبله، ورفض الكياسة، وكان مستشغلاً في نوم البلاهة، والغفلة، انخدع لما يورد العدو، فأورد على توحيده شرك الأسباب بدلاً، وبالتوجه إليه توجهاً إلى أولياء الأسباب، وبالإقبال عليه إقبالاً على أحوال النفس، وببذل النفس له عبودةً بذل النفس لمناه وشهواته، وبائتمانه على نفسه ائتمان ما جمع وحوى من الدنيا، وباتخاذه وكيلاً، اتخاذ علمه، وبصره، وحذقه بالأمور وكيلاً، وبالتفويض إليه تفويضاً إلى تدبيره، وقوته مقتدراً، وبالركون إليه ركوناً إلى حزمه، فلبس ما أعطي من الكنوز بهذه الأشياء، فانقطعت قوته، ومادة معرفته من الله.فأي مغبون أعظم غبناً من هذا، فبعداً له؛ لأنه قد ترك نصيحة الله له؛ فإنه أنزل عليه نصيحته تنزيلاً، فقال تعالى: {يأيها الذين آمنوا لا تلهكم أموالكم ولا أولادكم عن ذكر الله ومن يفعل ذلك فأولئك هم الخاسرون}.فإنما يذكر الله من وحده في جميع أموره ديناً ودنيا، وتوجه إليه في جميع نوائبه، وحوائجه، وأقبل عليه بكل همومه، وبذل نفسه بذل من يعلم أنه مملوك مخلوق من تراب، ممنون عليه بخلقه، وبعظائم المنن، وائتمنه على نفسه سكوناً إليه، وثقة به، واتخذه وكيلاً، فاستراح من المخاوف، وفوض إليه، وقعد ببابه ينتظر خروج تدبيره إليه، وركن إليه ركون من استند إلى جبل شامخ لا يقدر أن يؤتى من قبله، فاطمأن، فمن ألهاه حب ماله، وولده عن ذكر الله بهذه الأشياء، فخسرانه أعظم من أن يوصف؛ لأنه خدع، فأبدل بما أعطى من الجواهر من الخرز والخزف، والزجاج، والعظام، والفلوس.فليت شعري في أي وادٍ بقي توحيده، وفي أي وادٍ هوى؟! {أولئك ينادون من مكانٍ بعيدٍ}.

نا علي بن حجر، قال: نا يحيى بن حمزة الدمشقي، عن أبي معيد، عن حيان أو حبان بن حجر، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((يأتي على الناس زمانٌ القرآن في وادٍ، وهم في وادٍ غيره)).فإنما صار في واد؛ لأن جواهرهم ودنانيرهم قد صارت خرزاً وخزفاً، وفلوساً، فإن القرآن كلام رب العالمين، جرى إليهم من أصل الجواهر؛ ليعقلوا عنه كلامه بأنوار تلك الجواهر، فإذا خدعهم العدو بنفخة الكبر فيهم، ونفثة الشهوة، وسلطان الهوى؛ صارت هذه الأشياء بدلاً، فلم يوجد للخرز والخزف والفلوس أنوار تشرق، فيستنير الصدر لكلام رب العالمين.ولم يتراء لعين الفؤاد في ظلمات الكبر تلك المعاني، واللطائف، هيهات، ما أبعد ما وقع للقوم! انخدعوا للعدو بجعامة النفوس حتى أهلكهم، قال الله تعالى: {سأصرف عن آياتي الذين يتكبرون في الأرض بغير الحق}.تلك قلوب عز ربي وجل عن أن ينظر إليها، حتى ترمي الخزف، والخرز، والحصاة، والفلوس، بدل تلك الجواهر، تلك قلوب صرفها الله عن آياته، ودلائله، فعميت.تلك قلوب طردها، وأعرض عنها، فشغلها عن نفسه بما رث عليهم من دنياه الخربة، من زينتها، ولهوها، ولعبها، ومتاع غرورها.تلك قلوب غار الله في سمائه وعلى عرشه أن يرمي فيها فرحاً بنفس دينه، والدنيا رثة خلقة، وشهوات ردية، فطمسها عن الفرح به، والفرح بفضله ورحمته، فالقلوب المضروبة بالطمسة معرض عنها خالقها، وإذا أعرض عن قلب، صار الصدر كنهار قد غربت شمسه، وأتى الليل بلباسه، فإذا جاء الليل، انقبضت النفوس، والتف بعضها ببعض رعباً وجبناً.وكذلك القلب، إذا أظلم الصدر بتلبس العدو، وشهوات النفس وأفراحها؛ انقبض القلب، وذبل وافتقر، وصار أسير النفس.فالفرح بالله له برد يطفئ حرارة النفس، وله شعاع ينير الصدر، وبصائر النفس، وله حياة تميت جميع الشهوات بتلك الحياة، ويدعوك إلى الخالق الذي أجراها إليك حتى يؤديك إليه، وله حلاوة تسكرك عن كل حلاوة دونه، وله لطافة تجري إلى جميع عروقك، حتى تتأدى إلى مخ أعظمك، ويشتمل على روحك، وله لذة تلهيك عن كل شيء دونه، وله قوة تبعثك على كل صعب، فيهون عليك، وله يسر يغنيك عن كل شيء دونه، وله بشرى يغرق فيها جميع آمال قلبك ومنى نفسك، ويهيم قلبك في تلك البشرى هيمان من تاه في المفاوز، ودقت الدنيا والآخرة في جنب ذلك الفرح، ووله قلبك ولوه من خرجت الدنيا والآخرة منها، والفرح بأحوال النفس ودنياها، وله حرارة تحرق وجه القلب وساحته، وهي الصدر، حتى يصير للقلب حزونة من الحريق كحزونة الأرض، فتصبح حزيناً على فوت الدنيا، وعلى فوت درك منى النفس، ويمسي كذلك حزيناً، فذاك بفيض الله، فليعمل ما شاء من أعمال البر.وروي عن أبي جعفر محمد بن علي: أنه قال: من أصبح ساخطاً على الدنيا، أصبح ساخطاً على ربه.

نا عبد الله بن أبي زياد، قال: نا سيار، قال: نا جعفر بن سليمان، قال: سمعت فرقد السبخي يقول: قرأت في التوراة: من أصبح حزيناً على الدنيا، أصبح ساخطاً على ربه، ومن تضعضع لغنيٍّ، ذهب ثلثا دينه، ومن نزلت به مصيبة، فشكاها إلى الناس، فإنما يشكو ربه.فهذا رجل قد زاغ قلبه عن الله، فضل في مفاوز الحيرة، والفرح بأحوال النفس في مروجها وغياضها، فإذا اضطرم عليها نيران الحرص، امتلأ الجوف، من دخانها، حتى يصير الصدر كالليل الدامس، وتعمى بصائر نفسه، حتى يصير في أحوال النفس كالأعمى الذي يتقي الأشياء بيده، وبالمس، والفرح بأحوال النفس له سلطان يميت القلب، ويحيي النفس، وتهتز الشهوات بتلك الحرارة في كل شيء، يستحيي من الخلق، ولا يستحيي من خالقه؛ كما قال في تنزيله: {يستخفون من الناس ولا يستخفون من الله وهو معهم إذ يبيتون ما لا يرضى من القول}.وله حلاوة تسكرك عن الله، فالسكران متى يعقل من معه؟ وله برد كبرد السم يدب في العروق إلى مخ الأعظم، حتى يحذرك عن الإيمان بالله، فيصيرك كأنك خالٍ عنه، ويشتمل على روحك حتى ينسى روحك معدنه ومسراه، وينفذ إلى طبع النفس وثقلها وكدورتها، وله لذة تلهيك عن الله، وعن يوم الميثاق، ويوم الميعاد لوفاء الميثاق، وله قوة تقيمك على البغي، والبغي سيف الروح، ومحق النفس، وله أشر يطغيك، فإذا أنت طاغٍ باغٍ، وله بشرى وآمال كاذبة، وأماني خادعة غرارة، تهيم فيها هيمان المحتلم، يثب على كل مفروح في الدنيا وثبان المحتلم في منامه على جارية قد عشقها، فإذا انتبه، وجد نفسه عما وثب عليه خالياً، وفي فراشه بائلاً.فويل للفرح هكذا بهذه الصفة، كيف يمشي مكباً على وجهه في طرقات الدنيا ومزابلها يلتمس أفراحها، قد تولى عن الله، وأقبل على نفسه ودنياه، يخرب دينه، ويعمر نفسه، كيف ينتبه ويفيق من سكرته يوم يدنو منه رسول ملك الملوك لقبض روحه، ويعرج به إلى الله تعالى؟! كيف يجد نفسه خارجاً من أفراح النفس ودنياها، ويقدم على ربه جنباً، قد بال في دينه، وعبودته لربه، وراث فيها كروث الحمار، الذي قد حمل عن الله أسفاراً على ظهره من قبل أن يتطهر بماء الندم.فالكيس: نظر إلى هذا الحال، فاقشعر منه، ورجع إلى نفسه، فوجدها كريمة، حرة من الحرائر، تنقاد وتسلس بلا كزازة، فقام على الساق متشمراً في تصفيته قلبه، وتطهيره، التطهير؛ ليرق، والتصفية؛ ليجلى؛ فإن المرآة إذاجليت، فقابلها نور الشمس، تولد من بينهما إشراق يضيء البيت منه، فكذلك القلب إذا جلي، ثم لاحظ نور الملكوت، أضاء الصدر، وامتلأ من شعاعه، فأبصرت عينا الفؤاد باطن أمور الله تعالى في خلقه، فذاك ظاهر إيمان القلب، حتى أداه ذلك إلى ملاحظة نور الله، فإذا قابله نور الله، تولد من بينهما إشراق يمتلئ الصدر منه، وتبصر عينا فؤاده باطن الملكوت، فذاك باطن إيمان القلب، فذاك قلب قد استكمل الزينة والبهاء بما سبق من الصفاء والطهارة، فصار قلبه موضع نظر الله من بين خلقه، فكلما نظر إلى قلبه، زاده به فرحاً؛ لأنه ازداد به فرحاً، وله حباً، وعليه عزاً، ومنه قرباً، واكتنفه بالرحمة في ملك الرحمة.

نا حفص بن عمرو، قال: نا محمد بن القاسم الأسدي، عن ثور بن يزيد، عن خالد بن معدان، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، بنحوه.وفي رواية ابن المبارك: عن الأوزاعي، عن يحيى بن أبي كثير زيادة قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((إن الله لا ينظر إلى صوركم، ولا إلى أموالكم، ولكن ينظر إلى قلوبكم وأعمالكم، فمن كان له قلبٌ صالحٌ، تحنن الله عليه)).فإنما يصلح القلب إذا سكنت النفس بشهواتها، والهوى بجنوده، واطمأن القلب أميراً مؤمراً على الجوارح نافذاً سلطانه، فعندها يحتظي العبد من اسمه الحنان، فإذا تحنن عليه، وجد القلب ريح الرأفة، فيزداد طمأنينة إلى ربه، واهتاجت آماله.فبالآمال يأخذ في السير إليه دؤوباً دؤوباً، فعندها تظهر الكنوز، فإذا استغنى القلب بالكنوز، وصل العبد إلى زينة الأعمال، وإنفاق الكنوز بمحاسن الأخلاق، ومحمود الفعال.فعندها يصير القلب موضع نظر الله تعالى، وتصير حركات جوارحه عظيمة هناك، فعندها ينظر الله إلى قلبه، وإلى أعماله، حتى إذا وقع في القبضة، فهناك بلغ المبلغ الذي يقع في نظرة الله إلى جنته.
