حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيدٍ، عن مالك بن أنسٍ، عن ابن شهابٍ، عن عطاء بن يزيد، عن أبي سعيد الخدري، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((من تصبر، يصبره الله، ومن يستعفف، يعفه الله، ومن يستغن، يغنه الله، وما أعطي أحدٌ عطاءً هو خيرٌ وأوسع من الصبر)).فأما قوله: ((من تصبر، يصبره الله، ومن يستعفف، يعفه الله، ومن يستغن، يغنه الله)).فإن الله -تبارك اسمه- أعطاهم العقول، ومن عليهم بالإيمان، فالصبر والعفة والغنى إنما يخرج كله من الإيمان، فإذا أعطي الإيمان، فقد أعطي هذا كله.فبقوة الإيمان يصبر على طاعة الله، ويستعف عن محارم الله، وعن تناول شبهات الدنيا، ويقوم في العبودة على سبيل الاستقامة، ثم لا يتم له ذلك إلا بعون من الله؛ لأن النفس تقوم بهدم ذلك كله، وتدعو إلى خلافه، فوقع العبد في مجاهدة معها، فلولا عون الله للعبد، لمالت به النفس، ولكن سبيل العبد أن لا يتخير، فإذا جاءه موضع الصبر، فصبر، وعزم عليه، فوشيكاً يجيئه العون من الله، فوجد اليسر في أمره، فذاك عون الله، ومن قبل ذلك كان عليه ثقيلاً، دخل في الأمر مع الجهد؛ لأن النفس تأبى ذلك، فدخلت فيه بإكراه صاحبها لها على ذلك، فجاءه العون من الله، فيسير عليها، وعلى ذلك دل عباده بقوله: {إياك نعبد وإياك نستعين}.فأمره بالعبادة، وسؤال العون، فما لم يقدم العبد على ذلك، فسؤاله المعونة كالمحال، وذلك أنه أعطي القوة على القيام بما أمره الله، إلا أن النفس قامت تدعو إلى خلاف ذلك، فجاءت بشهواتها تريد أن تغلب القلب على ما أمن، فاحتاج عند مجاهدة النفس إلى عون من الله، وهو نور يرد على القلب، فيستنير الإيمان، ويمتزج به النور، فيقوى القلب، وتذل النفس، وتخمد شهواتها؛ لأن الخوف يحل بها من النور الوارد، فتذل النفس.فينبغي للعبد أن يقدم على كل أمر أمرَ به، وأن ينتهي عن كل ما نهي عنه بما أعطي من العلم، والعقل، والإيمان بالله، وذلك مع جهد شديد، وينتظر العون من الله، ولا يلقي بيديه إلى التهلكة، وكذلك التوبة، يخرج إلى الله من جميع ما نهي عزماً بالقلب، وجهداً على النفس، وتخلياً بالأركان مع عسر، وشدة، وجهد، فإذا العون من الله قد جاء، فيسر عليه كل ذلك، ولم يأمرنا الله أن نقول: {إياك نعبد وإياك نستعين} على العبودة، ثم يحبس عنا العون، ما هذا بمظنون به، وقال: {فإن مع العسر يسراً}، فأخرج العسر مخرج المعونة، واليسر نكرة؛ كأنه يقول: {فإن مع العسر يسراً. إن مع العسر يسراً} آخر، لا هذا، فلذلك قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((لن يغلب عسرٌ يسرين)).فاليسر الأول: هو ما أعطي العبد من الآلة، والعلم، والمعرفة، والقوة، فلولا النفس التي تحارب صاحبها بدفع ما يريد، وإفساده عليه، لكان الأمر قد تم، فإنه قد أعطي يسراً بأنه يقوم بالأمر الذي قد أمر، ولكن جاءت النفس بشهوتها، والعدو بكيده، فاحتاج العبد إلى يسر آخر، فوعده، فقال: عسر عليك الأمر، فأعطيتك مع العسر يسراً.ثم قال: {إن مع العسر يسراً} فيسراً قبل الأمر، وهو اليسر الأصلي، وهو حجة الله على عبده، وقال الله تعالى: {لا يكلف الله نفساً إلا وسعها} ويسراً بعد الأمر حين يأخذ فيه، وهو العون له، فإذا جاء العون، انهزمت النفس، وخمدت الشهوة، وهرب العدو، وبطل كيده، فهذا يسر، فهما يسران لن يغلبهما هذا العسر الذي بينهما، وهو مجاهدة النفس حتى يأتيك بحربها وجهادها؛ ليصدك، ويقهرك بشهواتها، فذلك عسر قد حل بك، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((لن يغلب عسرٌ يسرين)).فبشرهم أن العبد إذا لم يلق بيديه وبصره، واستعمل ما أعطي من اليسر في وقت هذا العسر الذي عارضت النفس به، جاءه اليسر الثاني،ولن يغلب هذا العسر هذين اليسرين، واليسر الثاني هو عونه، وهو عطف الله على العباد ورحمته، وإذا عطف على عبده، لم يبق للنفس عليه سبيل، ولا للعدو فيه مطمع؛ لأنه قد جاءه من العطف مدد، وجند عظيم، وهو نوره الذي قد أثار نور التوحيد، فصار كجمرة قد طار عنها غبارها، فأخذت تتوقد وتضيء.فقوله: ((من تصبر، يصبره الله))؛ أي: يستعمل ما أعطي من الصبر الذي يخرج له من الإيمان، فإذا فعل ذلك، صبره الله؛ أي: جاءه المدد والعون، حتى يتم له صبره في يسر.وكذلك قوله: ((من يستعفف، يعفه الله)).وأما قوله: ((من يستغن، يغنه الله))؛ فإن التجأت إليه في الحوائج صدقاً، فهو أكرم من أن يردك ويلجئك إلى عبيده.

حدثنا ابن أبي زيادٍ، قال: حدثنا سيارٌ، عن جعفرٍ، عن ثابتٍ، قال: حبس ابن أخٍ لصفوان بن محرزٍ فلم يبق بالبصرة رجلٌ له وجهٌ عند الأمير إلا تجمل به عليه، فلم يزده إلا شدةً، فبات ليلةً، فقيل له في منامه: يا صفوان! اطلب الأمر من وجهه، فقام فتوضأ، وصلى ركعتين، وسأل ربه، ثم عاد إلى مضجعه، فنودي بالباب: يا صفوان! إن هذا ابن أخيك قد جئنا به، فصار إلى الباب، فإذا ابن أخيه، فقال له: نبه الأمير في جوف الليل حتى بعث إلى السجون، فنودي: أين ابن أخي صفوان؟ فطلب حتى جيء به، فها هو ذا.

حدثنا أبي رحمه الله، قال: حدثنا الحكم بن المبارك، قال: حدثنا بقية، قال: حدثني بكر بن حذلمٍ الأسدي، قال: حدثني وهب بن أبان، عن عبد الله بن عمر: أنه خرج في سفرٍ له، فإذا بجماعة على طريق، فقال: ما هذه الجماعة؟ فقالوا: أسدٌ قطع الطريق، قال: فنزل، فمشى إليه حتى قفده بيده، ونحاه عن الطريق، ثم قال: ما كذب عليك رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: ((إنما يسلط على ابن آدم من يخافه ابن آدم، ولو أن ابن آدم لم يخف غير الله، لم يسلط الله عليه غيره، وإنما وكل ابن آدم لمن رجا ابن آدم، ولو أن ابن آدم لم يرج إلا الله، لم يكله الله إلى غيره)).وقال الله -جل ذكره- لنبيه صلى الله عليه وسلم: {واصبر وما صبرك إلا بالله}، يعلمه أنه لا يتم له ذلك إلا بعون من الله، وغياث منه.وأما قوله: ((وما أعطي عبدٌ عطاءً هو أوسع من الصبر))؛ لأن الصدر قد انشرح، واتسع للنور الوارد على قلبه، فإذا اتسع الصدر، يسرت عليه الأمور كلها، وهو قوله: {أفمن شرح الله صدره للإسلام فهو على نورٍ من ربه}، فإذا استقر النور في القلب، انفسح الصدر وانشرح، وألقى بيديه سلماً لمولاه في أمره ونهيه، وجميع أحكامه عليه، وتدبيره له، ولم يبق للقلب منازع؛ لأن النفس إنما تذل، وتنقمع، وتموت شهواتها، وتلقي بيديها حين يشرق الصدر، فيحل بها من ذلك الإشراق خوف الله، وخوف عقابه.ثم يزداد النور، فتدخله الخشية، وهو نور القربة، فيحل بها الرهبة من الله، ثم يزداد النور، فتدخله العظمة، فتحل بها الهيبة من الله، والخوف الخالص منه، فتيبس، وتذهب شهواتها، وتخشع لله، وتصير تابعة للقلب، فمنه بدأ أول النور، فوجد العبد متسعاً في صدره، فقيل: صابر، ثم زيد، فهو صابر قانع، ثم زيد، فهو صابر راضٍ مراقب، ثم زيد، فهو صابر راضٍ مراقب واله، ثم زيد، فهو منفرد، قد انفرد لربه، ولها عن الصبر والرضا، والمراقبة، والوله، وهذا كله له، والانفراد غالب عليه، فهو في قبضته يستعمله، وهو قول رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، عن جبريل عليه السلام، عن الله عز وجل حيث يقول: ((كنت سمعه وبصره، ويده ورجله، ولسانه وفؤاده، فبي ينطق، وبي يعقل، وبي يمشي، وبي يبصر، وبي يبطش)).وهو قول عمر -رضي الله عنه- حيث شج عليٌّ رضي الله عنه ذلك الرجل، فأتى عمر رضي الله عنه، فقال: من فعل بك ويحك؟! قال: علي، فسأل علياً، فقال: إني مررت به، فأصغيت إليه بسمعي، فإذا هو يكلم امرأة بكلام، فلم أملك حتى ضربته، فقال عمر: أيها الرجل! أصابتك عين من عيون الله عز وجل،وإن لله في الأرض عيوناً.والصبر: هو ثبات النفس على حكم الله، وتدبيره، وأمره، ونهيه، ويرمي بشهوته، ومنيته، والنفس لا ترمي بذلك، حتى تبصر ما هو أفضل من شهواتها ومنيتها، وإنما يبصر ذلك بذلك النور الوارد على القلب فتطيب، وتستقر، وتوقن، فأي شيء أوسع منه، وبذلك يثقل ميزانه، ويملأ منه ميزانه، وسعة كفة الميزان سعة السماوات والأرض.
